The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council explores how Houston's business community plays a critical role in advancing Houston as America's most inclusive and open city, one that truly offers opportunity for all.
Co-presented as the second installment in the One Houston Together series, this Council explores the shifting needs of women in the workplace.
Women comprise approximately half of the workforce, yet continue to experience challenges and obstacles to their success and inclusion in the business community. In addition to burnout, insufficient pay, and lack of advancement, women also face maternal morbidity and mortality challenges, expanded caregiver responsibilities, and potential loss of career advancement opportunities.
To address the shifting needs of women in the workplace, Houston area leaders will share how companies are mobilizing to create supportive workplaces for women.
Registration for this Council will open three weeks prior to the event date. Speakers to be announced.
Councils are designed for members to expand their personal and professional networks and gather information on trending regional topics. These meetings are complimentary for all member company employees.
One Houston Together is the Partnership's commitment to leverage the power of the business community to reduce inequities in our region. The effort is focused on two priority areas: increasing racial equity in the corporate talent pipeline as well as board leadership and accelerating the growth of underrepresented businesses.
